Humanitarian Aid

The European Voluntary Humanitarian Aid Corps has started!!!

The European Voluntary Humanitarian Aid Corps is a one of the strands of the European Solidarity Corps

Volunteering in Humanitarian aid is open to all young people who:

  • registered for the European Solidarity Corps programme,
  • indicated in their European Solidarity Corps profile their interest to take part in Humanitarian aid volunteering,
  • are between 18 and 35 years old,
  • and reside in an EU Member State or a country associated to the programme (Iceland, Liechtenstein, Republic of North Macedonia, Türkiye).

Humanitarian aid volunteers will carry out different tasks needed to support the activities undertaken by their host organisations in far-away countries, for instance:

strengthening the local capacity and resilience of disaster-affected vulnerable communities, such as refugees or internally displaced people, supporting the WASH (water, sanitation and health) sector, the agri-food sector, the integration of young people with fewer opportunities in local communities and more generally the fight against all kinds of discrimination.

To make the most of this experience, volunteers must be adequately trained and we are glad to announce that the PuntoSud Academy is part of the consortium which is responsible for the design and the delivery of this comprehensive learning program (Click here to know more).

If you are interested in becoming a volunteer or if your organisation which wishes to become a Support or a Host organisation, you can have a look at the Solidarity Corp portal where you will also find a specific section dedicated to volounteering in humanitarian Aid
